The switch works correctly and reaches 125 psi before shutting off. At 90 psi the switch activates and runs the compressor. There was no need to adjust the settings. All you need to do is wire the switch to the terminals inside the service cover. and screw the cover back on. Again, just don't unscrew any of the four screws attached to the manifold.

Air pressor Pressure Switch Wiring The pressure switch is one of the most important parts of an air compressor. It controls the pressure by turning the compressor motor on and off.
Safety when wiring a compressor pressure switch. If you are well grounded the power in a 120 VAC circuit can kill you. If you are working on a switch with 240 VAC, the power there will kill you if you are not very careful. In operation a pressure switch turns the power ON and OFF to an air compressor motor.
This is a short video on How To Wire A Pressure Switch on an electric air compressor. We give a brief explanation here on wiring two ver y common pressure switches found on many electric air ...
The standard 220 volt wiring for an air compressor includes no polarity for the red and the black wire, so you cannot wire them backwards. The disconnect switch should be a 220 volt 2 pole type for both circuit wires.
The connection from the compressor to this box must be made with 10 3 flexible power cord. Run a length of this wire from the switch box of the compressor to the junction box. Connect to the wire from the circuit breaker box. Make the connections between the two wire types using large wire nuts.
If the switch isn't connected to the motor, consult the manual for the wiring diagram for the air compressor motor. You'll typically need three short strands of wire of the recommended gauge – one black, one white and one green or bare for the ground.
